About me
Ala Zuchniak is a Junior Interior Designer at Moriyama Teshima Architects, where she contributes to several academic, institutional, and residential projects. While balancing multiple projects across various phases her focus remains on enhancing end user experience while developing creative design solutions that are mindful of environmental impact. She also holds a Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts from the University of Waterloo’s School of Interaction Design and Business.
Ala brings a hands-on, fabrication-informed approach to design, shaped by her experience working at TMU’s Interior Design Workshop and assisting the research and experimentation of emergent digital technologies. Through this work, she developed expertise in digital fabrication, woodworking, and ceramics—skills that continue to inform her spatial thinking. Her independent ceramic practice remains a creative outlet and a testing ground for exploring material, form, and process.
